We operate our Melbourne animal hospital using similar principles to that of a human emergency department. In the event of an emergency, call us to speak to a triage nurse for advice. Should your pet need to be admitted to a Melbourne animal hospital, our after hour vets will be able to assess your pet, either in our exam rooms or in the treatment centre.

For non-emergency cases, we also have exam rooms at the vet clinic. Melbourne pet owners do not need to book ahead – as an emergency vet, we do not schedule appointments. AAE is also able to care for patients requiring intensive care via our critical care unit.
