Animal Accident and Emergency (AAE) have two conveniently located, purpose built pet emergency centres at Essendon Fields and Point Cook providing 24 hour, 7 day a week animal emergency services to the pet community of Melbourne. Our centres are conveniently located to provide direct and easy freeway access as time is precious in any emergency. Our purpose is to save pets lives using the highest standards of emergency and critical care medicine and surgery at times when local vet clinics are closed.

Our dedicated emergency veterinarians and nurses are highly trained professionals participating in continuous education and training to provide immediate, first class emergency and critical care. We aim to provide you with an honest assessment of your pet’s condition and will work with you to tailor a plan that is appropriate to your situation. When should you visit Animal Accident & Emergency?

If your pet seems to be injured or unwell, Animal Accident & Emergency recommends that you seek professional help from one of our two conveniently located 24 hour, 7 day a week pet emergency centres if your local vet clinic is closed.

Some common signs of illness include

  • Not wanting to eat
  • Lethargy or sleepiness
  • Breathing difficulty
  • Swollen stomach
